Overview:

SignalChem Diagnostics’ Clostridium perfringens Enterotoxin One-Pot Detection Kit is an on-site rapid nucleic acid amplification and detection assay for the simultaneous qualitative detection of the enterotoxin (cpe) gene of C. perfringens in canine and feline fecal samples.

Clostridium perfringens is a widespread, Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium capable of producing potent enteric toxins. Strains carrying the enterotoxin (cpe) gene are major causative agents of acute diarrhea and gastroenteritis in dogs and cats. Because clinical progression can be exceptionally rapid, timely diagnostic confirmation is critical for effective triage, quarantine, and treatment.
