Specifications:

Unit Definition: The amount of RNase inhibitor required to reduce the activity of 5 ng of RNase A by 50%. RNase A activity is measured by the hydrolysis of cyclic 2',3'-CMP to generate 3'-CMP.

Overview:

SignalChem Diagnostics Murine RNase Inhibitor, Glycerol-Free (200 U/μL) is a recombinant mouse RNase inhibitor expressed in E. coli. It specifically inhibits RNases A, B, and C by binding noncovalently in a 1:1 ratio with high affinity. Compared to the human-origin RNase inhibitor, murine RNase inhibitor does not contain the two Cys residues that are sensitive to oxidation. Therefore, Murine RNase Inhibitor has improved resistance to oxidant activity and is more suitable for assays with low DTT concentration (<1 mM). This product is compatible with our Reverse Transcriptase (Cat# RTH04-E29B) and various DNA polymerases. It is ideal for high-OTT-sensitive applications, including RT-PCR, and is commonly used in cDNA synthesis, polysome isolation, and in vitro transcription/translation. Additionally, the glycerol-free formulation is optimized for lyophilized reagent preparation.
