Specifications:

Applications: 1. Eliminates aerosol contamination from dU-containing PCR products.
2. Removes uracil from both single-stranded and double-stranded DNA.
Unit Definition: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme needed to hydrolyze 1 μg of dU-containing double-stranded DNA in 30 minutes at 25 °C.
Heat Inactivation: 94 °C for 2–5 minutes.
Notes: UDG is compatible with most PCR reaction buffers.
Research Use Only.

Overview:

SignalChem Diagnostics Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UDG), Heat-Labile, Glycerol-Free removes uracil from DNA by cleaving the N-glycosidic bond between the uracil base and the sugar-phosphate backbone. Compared to conventional UDG, this heat-labile variant reduces the risk of degrading dU-containing amplification products by eliminating residual enzymatic activity at room temperature after inactivation. This enzyme is active at room temperature but is easily inactivated by heat, making it ideal for applications where controlled enzyme inactivation is required. This product is formulated without glycerol, making it suitable for freeze-drying applications.

Storage and Shipping:

Ship with ice packs and store at 2-8°C for up to 1 year.
