Why CRISPOT®

Molecular testing beyond the laboratory

CRISPOT® enables molecular diagnostic nucleic acid assays to be performed near the point of sample collection, including greenhouses, laboratories, production facilities, agricultural settings, or others.

Portability
Compact enough to move with the work

At 120 × 110 × 60 mm and approximately 500 g, CRISPOT® is easy to transport between testing locations.

Throughput
Up to eight samples in a single run

Process eight individual reaction tubes or one compatible 8-tube strip in a flexible testing configuration.

Assay flexibility
Preset workflows or custom conditions

Use established programs or adjust incubation temperature and time for other compatible assays.

Built for practical operation
Integrated fluorescence detection

Supports FAM, FITC, SYTO 9, SYBR Green, and similar fluorophores.

Two power options

Use the supplied AC adapter or a compatible external battery or power bank.

Straightforward operation

Four modes and button-based navigation – no computer or external software required.

Applications

One platform
Multiple applications

CRISPOT® supports compatible assays that require controlled incubation and fluorescence signal detection, including LAMP, RPA, CRISPR-based nucleic acid detection, and other compatible fluorescence-based isothermal workflows.

A flexible platform for molecular assays

Custom mode lets users adjust incubation temperature and time to evaluate and adapt new workflows.

LAMP • RPA • CRISPR-based detection • Compatible fluorescence-based isothermal assays

Point-of-need testing

Early identification can support timely crop management and disease-control decisions.

CRISPR + LAMP workflow

The kits combine isothermal amplification with CRISPR-based, target-specific detection.

Available targets

Potato Virus Y, Aggressive Neo-P, Blueberry Scorch Virus, Pseudomonas syringae, Fusarium oxysporum, and more.

Plant pathogen detection

Use CRISPOT® with SignalChem Diagnostics’ One-Pot Plant Pathogen Detection Kits for testing directly at or near the point of sample collection.

Each kit includes target-specific reagents and illustrated instructions.

In development

Animal pathogen detection

One-Pot Animal Pathogen Detection Kits are being developed for veterinary clinics, farms, and other point-of-need settings, with pathogen- and virulence-associated targets for companion and farm animals.

How CRISPOT® works

From sample preparation to fluorescence detection

A clear four-step workflow connects assay-specific sample preparation with controlled incubation and fluorescence detection in CRISPOT®.

01
Prepare the sample

Collect and prepare the sample according to the instructions provided with the selected detection kit or compatible assay.

02
Set up the reaction

Transfer the prepared reaction mixture into compatible tubes. CRISPOT is intended for reaction volumes of 30 µL or greater.

03
Select the program

Choose a preset program or use Custom mode to set the incubation temperature and time required by the assay.

04
Run the test

Start the program. CRISPOT heats the reactions and maintains the selected conditions for the required duration.

Operating modes

Preset for convenience Flexible when required

Four operating modes support sample preparation, established testing workflows, and compatible custom applications.

Navigate directly on the device using simple button controls.
